Escaping from Valentine's

For a single person who has no partner, Valentine's day is quite a spooky day. Where we will see what so called romantic couples everywhere with chocolates or flowers on their hands and lips to lips kissing each other. DISASTER for me (just trying to be dramatic).

To avoid those horrible sceneries in the town where I lived. I decided to go for a short escaped with some other single friends to see the longest suspension bridger in our country which located in Sukabumi, West Java.

Probably. It's gonna be my last post for this year (will be such busy gembel on December to January for South East Asia trip) . I'll close this year with my self being taken by my friend Vickaboo. An impromptu shot in, still the same location with my previous post, Thamrin Residence, Central Jakarta. Under the lamp-light, me, topless (yea, I know I'm sexy while topless), holding the cigarette. I edited the photo with orange effect yet smoke, so, here is my photo.

Fancy "Gembel"

Two months feels like two years for me. I know this blog seems being neglected by me, but now here am again, with new post which mean new photo.

This time, I'm not act as a photographer but as a model. Well, accidentally as a model. So, last Sunday on October 14th. Me, and two of my friends (R n V) went to Thamrin Residence to have our sports time. Then again, when I tried to do tanning, laying on tanning bed near to swimming pool. My friend, V, who is a professional photographer asked me to do a little bit pose (since he brought his canon 1000D DSLR camera). Trying to be nice, I did what he asked, and guess what, either he is a real professional photographer or I have that what-so-called-talent as a model, the picture was perfect. GREAT.

Here is the photo. We called it Fancy "Gembel".

Trio GEMBEL

See picture's caption 'Trio GEMBEL' that's what we called ourselves. Gembel could mean beggar or homeless in English. Well, we're not real gembel literally, but we just people who loves to share. Remember, share !! For example, like when we're hung out with our friends in a cafe or pub. We tend to ordered one big drinks for the three of us (it's cheaper right ?). It's not because we don't have money (though we don't have it sometimes, yes). It just we want be more wise to spend our money.

There were a time, when we visited our friend's apartment in the very central of Jakarta. We swimmed and played tennis there, along with our friend who is a photographer. After we finished with those kind of activities, we had some photo sessions couple meters before going to parking lot. It was a very spontaneous, unprepared but still bring a great white and black photo of trio gembel.

Color in Old

Yesterday, me and family went to Sunda Kelapa Harbour, in Old Town area, North Jakarta. My sister just came from Taiwan, before she's going back to her hometown NTT, me along with others come as guide to take her explored the big city, Jakarta.

An hour before the sun went down, we arrived in Sunda Kelapa. Seeing here and there around about 20 minutes, we started taking pictures for documentation. About to going back home, I saw hundred colorful oil tanks neatly arranged. I asked my sister to get my picture right in front of those tanks, I love the colors combination, what a great contrast, isn't it ? between the old area town and the bright colors of those dirty tanks.

Here is the picture. * Would love to go to that place again, for hunting pictures.

my editorial-wannabe photoshots

LOL, but hey, don't even dare to laughing and mocking on me. Well, okay, I ain't a proffesional model, so what ? I don't think my photos are that bad at all, I quite confidence to compare my photos to those editorial on famous magazines (yea, I'm that overconfidence).

Love to Kill

What a good mood I have lately to posting something to this blog. It less than a week, but now I back here again with new photo and new story of course.

So, the story of this pic is about a young man who either desperate and psycho, who loves to kill so badly. After kills a lot, he goes even more desperate and in the end, he wanting to kill himself. So tragic, isn't it ? (p.s: the knife is real).

The model was me, art director was me, photographed by my brother, digital imaged by me and my brother.

Miserable Face

Before March turn into April, could you please let me at least post something on this lovely blog ? (talking to myself). More than thirty days haven't blogged anything yet. Now, I have something to show you guys.

Just this morning, me and my brother taking pictures of each other (me taking his pictures and him taking mine). There is one great photo of myself that I like the most from the photosession. I named it 'Miserable Face' (Taken by Elyas. Digital Imaging by Me). What do you think ?

WHEE-styLe-CHAIR

Last week, my brother James bought grandma a wheelchair. Don't ask me what's that wheelchair use for!!. The day when me, my brother Juara and James taking the wheelchair to our mom's house (my mom and grandma are live together since last year), I asked Juara to  took a picture of me while posing on my grandma's wheelchair.

Who we are ? We are family

BIG brotha and me. The photo taken about two years a go by my brother, Elyas Tampubolon. It was a great moment for the three of us and I bet it'll be one of those pictures which will be laugh-to-remembered when we old. Oh yea, just fyi, my big brotha's name is James Tampubolon.

RED THE STADIUM

The photos taken by my brother, Elyas Tampubolon. It's me and my friend whom yesterday watched live for final match AFF Suzuki Cup Indonesia versus Malaysia at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium, Jakarta. It was amazing match with awesome euphoria from Indonesians !!! Yeah that's true that we were not the champion for AFF Suzuki Cup 2010, but we won the match yesterday, it was 2 for Indonesia and 1 for Malaysia.

- First Picture is me at my room before going to stadium. I used red t-shirt, red shoe, black jeans, Indonesia National Flag and Ulos (batak traditional clotch) as a costume.

and just like what Cipu's said, it will be better if I put pictures of a whole stadium, guess what ? I have these two pictures. First one was euphoria outside the stadium, and the second one is 3 hours before the match began.

Searching For The Light

Yesterday, after hours helped my mother cleaned the house and cooking chicken teriyaki for 'arisan' at my home around 2 pm I took a bath and then suddenly I got an idea to shoot my self. Despite it was been a long time I didn't do a self-photoshoot, there also been a long time (more than two weeks) since my last post here, so I think it will be great if I do self-potrait then put it on my blog.

I used my Lumix DMC-FS42 to shot and my own room as the location. So, here is the photo. I called it 'searching for the light'.

Back In The Day

It's wednesday 1.49 pm here now, and I think it is good to remember the old time, just back in the day for awhile.

What I have now is my photo which taken by my brother about two years a go, when myy brother need a model for his photography subject final test. He asked me if I want to do the photoshot or not couple days before the day, then I asked permission from my office (I was a customer service on one of the biggest airline in Asia) for that photoshot and my boss gave me his permit.

and the idea of this photo was japanese style.

p.s : my brother used nikon d200 for this photoshot.

Parking Lot

Wow, time ran so fast lately. Thursday comin again, and it's time for blackandwhite meme photo-post. What do I have today ? Here is the photo taken by my friend, Deddy Samuel Hutahaean (my partner in crime for photography things, well, beside my brother of course), with his Nikon. The location was on Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Lost Me

Random picture, this one is myself potrait. Shot by my brother, Elyas Tampubolon - which one of my role model in life. So, talking about this photo, it took on top roof of my mom's house. Can you imagine ? we doing the photo session with those what we called scarry, affraid and yes a hot feelings, but we proud yet satisfied with the results we got. So, here it is one of the photos we made :

Ops, almost forgot. My brother used my friend's camera Nikon DSLR, and yeah fyi, the white thing I use on my neck is not a scarf but a curtain.

Okay it will sound funny or disgusting story behind these photos. First started when I chatted with my friend Rezty on YM, we've talked about many things 'till one point I felt like 'ouch' my stomach, so I decided to go to restroom by mean to sit on and start pull out my poo, but soon it changed when I saw the light of sun beautifully shining my restroom so I thought it will be great if I took couple pictures before I did what I suppose to do before.lol. - Um, not funny ? okay hit me for being unproffesional comedian. The best part ? of course photos I took with my mobile Corby txt camera, here they are (with no edited at all) :
