2021

Corona strikes the whole world since early of 2020.

Nothing much I have done in my life ever since. I feel depressed, frustration running around my head, sad, pretty much all the negative energy hit me at the same time. I almost give up, but then again, I come to my sense, realizing I am lucky enough for what happened in my life before, for still breathing until the second I'm writing this post. I thank God for all the millions good things happened in my life, which much more than all these crazy times I had in this pandemic year.

It's been a long time I did not post anything, I know, I am a lazy bitch. Here in this post am going to show my photoshoot of a good friend when am still in New York City couple years a go. His name is Zaley, a mix of latin and middle eastern blood.

Escaping from Valentine's

For a single person who has no partner, Valentine's day is quite a spooky day. Where we will see what so called romantic couples everywhere with chocolates or flowers on their hands and lips to lips kissing each other. DISASTER for me (just trying to be dramatic).

To avoid those horrible sceneries in the town where I lived. I decided to go for a short escaped with some other single friends to see the longest suspension bridger in our country which located in Sukabumi, West Java.

NYC, truly the best city

It was not at first days I was there on my first visit on 2016. First month I stayed in NYC is like hell. I hate the city so much. It's beyond my expectation (as from those scenes I saw on almost every hollywood movies or series), it wasn't as cleaned as I imagine before, the road it self wasn't as smooth as I expected.

George Washington Bridge

with Little Red Lighthouse.

One of the best spot in New York City, at least for me. June, my fifth months in New York City, been traveled to up north in Bronx, east side in Flushing, south part of Brooklyn in Manhattan Beach park, now exploring George Washington bridge crossing the bridge starting from New York City side along the way to the New Jersey side and come back again following the path to the little red lighthouse which built in 1889.

Definitely will be one of my recommendation list to those who is plan to visiting New York City. Put the bridge area to your list. Not-so-touristic area makes the bridge even a perfect place to come to.

Recklessness , Now I Ask You

Still in New York, it's my fifth month here. Had so many chances taking nice pictures here and there so far. Here, this time, I'd like to upload some scenes of theater presented by The Metropolitan Playhouse in lower-east-side of Manhattan. Recklessness and also Now I Ask You.

I love the story, their actors act yet the lighting it self. You guys can check their website to see further details about the show here.

Black & White

Been three months I live my life in New York City. When keep going to some classes of photography and english, I tried to keep update my portfolio by taking more photos while am here.

Here I will publish where one time I shot a professional stylist yet a freelance model, Jonzu. It is such an honour for me to be able to captured him to my frames. I decided to get his pictures with black and white from the beginning I press the shutter of my camera. It been a long time I didn't shoot black and white, kind like miss it. I feel these photos giving such a lil bit more dramatic feel.

Living My New Part of Life

in NEW YORK CITY

It's 2016. Been almost a month I've been here in New York City, United States of America. Many new experiences come hit me perfectly and nicely. For the first time in my life I travel outside Asian country, for the first time in my life I touch snow which look so good on television but not in reality (too cold for me), for the first time in my life of this and that many more.

The main point of getting here to NYC is visiting my brother who works here since two years a go, other than just giving my self a long-term of holiday, my brother, he enrolled me to one of photography school here which I told him that photography is one of my biggest passion so far.

So now, here I am learning about it, photography, from the very fundamental basic theory to practical of various kind of shoots. Uploading some of of them, lesson I got from school, captured band's perfoemance in one of nice bar in lower east side of Manhattan.

Love in Bali

October, 2015. I went to Bali to took pictures of friend's wedding. An Indonesian with a Hungarian. Perfect matched lovely humanbeing who are fallin' love each other. A very nice wedding with only 40 invitation total (including both family). Captured their moments gave me a thought that love shoould be like theirs, not limited by the races, skin color, ages, etc. Their wedding perfectly wrapped with beautiful location pick, Bali.

Here are some of their moments that I got.

When Life Get's Boring

Try new things !

Finally back again to post something new, a new fun, new photos and new learned. It was two months a go. I feel bored a 'lil bit with my days of life, about to go somewhere but have no idea at all that time. Suddenly friends inviting me to joined them to go hiking to a mountain in Garut, West Java, around 7 hours driving to reached.

I never go hiking before, I more into beach than mountain, but I don't want to limit my interest on traveling just like that. So I jumped into my friends idea, and went hiking for the first time in my life ever, and the best plus moment it was my country, Indonesia Independence Day. So, we celebrate it exactly when the sun was rise beautifully. I felt so awesome that time.

Dieng Plateau, Wonosobo

Queuing for the sunrise.

Looking back to eight months a go, I traveled to Dieng Plateau in Wonosobo, Central Java. It was a bus-twelve-hours-driving to go and need almost the same time to get back from Dieng Plateau to Jakarta. I was a tour guide for about twenty-something bank officers in Jakarta, so, the best part of this traveling was I got paid.

That time was the first time ever in my life to leave footprints in a marshy plateau that forms the floor of a caldera complex on the Dieng Volcanic Complex, which sits at 2,000 meters above sea level. What I can say about this plateau is just wow. Wow for the good-cold weather there, wow for the view that I never had before, wow for the unique-taste-yet-shape fruits there, and hundreds more wow for hundreds more good things I got there.

In a very early morning, me and the tour, hiking the plateau to hunt the sunrise, we did it even though it wasn't that great sunrise, but I still got my best-picture at that moment. I captured people queuing step on small stairs before reaching the highest place to see the sunrise with my Canon EOS Kiss X4 camera. What do you think ?

Started with stupid conversation, when I trolled an idea to my sister to make her become my model, with no hesitation, she said yes. So, blah, these what I got from her. Trying to be photosession-professional-model, here I present to you guys, my sister-yet-my-partner-in-crime, Ida Susilowati.

My Working-Holiday

Traveling, always been addicting to me, at least since four years a go. As now, am traveling again for a month in Thailand, from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. With a very minim budget, I still forced my self to keep traveling wherever it is.

When Thailand as a destination for this traveling. I start rolled-over my brain, thinking how to get survived while traveling with money less than 150 $ for a month. I recalled to my self, and I got the answer. I was thinking what about selling myself as photograper to get a short of money.

So, days before I leave to Thailand, I sent messages to all my friends who lives in Thailand, promoting my coming, and guess what I got ? I got three clients before the Day. Two are in Chiang Mai, one in Bangkok. Because of them, me and my friend can finally still survive untill now, where our trip will be ended up on 7th of May.

Here are two clients that I took the pictures in Chiang Mai (the male client's name is Beer, Laos man who has lived in Thailand for ten years, the female is Nogni, the Holland girl who teaching English in Chiang Mai, Thailand for almost two years):

Valentin Van Nhut

A French guy who fall his heart for Muay Thai.

Did a photo-session with Valentin Van Nhut in Bangkok, Thailand, couple weeks a go. I met him when me and friends did a Free Hugs Campaign in Khaosan Road on December 31st, 2012. He such a nice, a very friendly yet a very cheerful person. On the first day we met, he had threw an invitation to me and my friends to attend a house-new-year's-eve-party (even though we didn't come to the party, since me and other friends had our plan already).

Making it short, after the free hugs campaign, we had hung out couple times explored the beauty of Bangkok, along with others. Until one day, my friend, Vickar, who is a photographer asked me to invite Valentin to be our model and with out a doubt, Valentin gave a yes answer to the invitation.

So, here are some of the photos from that photo session : :
